As we get ready to take a much-needed break to celebrate and be with family for the holidays, we wanted to take a moment to thank you for being a part of our lives. We appreciate you and I am honored that you’ve entrusted me to help you in one of the most important aspects of your life: planning financially. I look forward to continuing to help you prepare for, if not enjoy, retirement.
Because life tends to get even busier this time of year, I wanted to keep our commentary short and sweet, plus this month’s blog entry, “Setting Financial Goals for the New Year”, is also very fitting and a perfect reminder especially when the busyness of the holidays can easily distract us.
So, let’s get into some quick announcements and a short commentary on what’s happening in the markets:
We will be taking time off from Dec. 20th through the New Year. If you have any pending distribution requests (these do not apply to ‘ongoing’ systematic distributions), please be sure to contact us ASAP, as the custodians also have year-end cutoffs. You can call us at 262-230-1095 or email albanoteam@gvcaponline.com.
If you attended our October “Protecting Your Assets” Event and you’ve decided to take the next step in your financial life, please schedule your planning meeting at https://albanoteam.as.me/DevelopFinancialStrategy.
Lastly, a quick comment about the market:
There’s a lot of optimism going into the new year. We are continuing to see new all-time highs and it’s hard to be bearish when the indices are moving favorably in the same direction. And while there might be some who worry that the markets have been too good lately, the fact is the “trend is our friend”, and there would have to be a significant event to cause the market to reverse direction. So, for now, don’t fight it.
We also just came out of the typical weakest months of the year (May through October) and given how the markets rebounded in November, we’re all hoping for a strong year-end. Like Christmas lights, our indicators currently are ‘green’, so we will continue to follow the trend of stocks moving upward. And as new trends emerge next year, our money managers will be there, ready to act and move according to what the markets give us.
We want to wish you and your loved ones a joyous and Blessed Holiday Season.
Merry Christmas!!!
